The Homeland Security Act of 2002 provides the best known definition of a First Responder, using the term "Emergency Response Providers" for federal, state, and local governmental and nongovernmental emergency public safety, fire, law enforcement, emergency medical (including hospital emergency facilities) and related personnel, agencies and authorities.
FRTC expands on this definition to include the following:

Round-the-clock behavioral health support is available for ALL first responders, frontline workers and their legal partners of Northern Colorado contracted agencies.
Our innovative crisis stabilization program creates a safety net for Northern Colorado contracted agencies.
Our dedicated behavioral health, peer support and medical staff strive to alleviate the shame and stigma associated with a behavioral health crisis.

The Gottman Method approach to couples therapy includes a thorough assessment of the couple's relationship and integrates research based interventions to help couples strengthen their relationships in three primary areas:
