First Responder Trauma Counselors understands that serving communities has both an upside and a downside to the career. We at First Responder Trauma Counselors understand that our TRIBE has seen the underbelly of life and cannot rewind time and unsee what they have witnessed. Living with high anxiety and/or PTSD is not easy, and can hurt the First Responder, their Family and the Customers they serve. While we know treatment options are available—we believe that FLOATING is a complement to traditional methods of treatment such as Cognitive and Exposure therapy.
Spending time in a float tank can be a tremendous relief from the symptoms of PTSD and Anxiety. Floating provides and environment for self-care, self-reflection and self-awareness.
Samana Float encourages all First Responder in their their community to thrive and be healthy in the work they do—this is a powerful tool and resource available in our Community.
You won’t fight gravity! The 1,100 pounds of epsom salt in the water takes care of that while you lie on your back. The water is kept at 93.5 - 94 degrees. This is skin-receptor neutral, which means you lose track of where your body ends and the water begins. The rooms are insulated against sound. Noise from the outside does not reach you. For 90 minutes, the outside world is gone, and amazing things happen. It’s likely to be the most relaxing thing you’ve ever experienced.
SAMANA FLOAT is working with First Responder Trauma Counselors to help with any individual in our Member Agency to benefit from this wonderful resource. Please contact SAMANA FLOAT or First Responder Trauma Counselors for additional details.
